Cause of death - Cardiac Failure and Chronic Bronchitis.
A very quiet man with a good sence of humour. Heavy smoker. Did not drink alcohol. Enjoyed a bet on the horses.
Served as a soldier in the Royal Pioneer Corps, retired as a Major. He retired because his wife was ill and he wanted to be with her and their children, unfortunately Sarah (Sal) died a week later.
After Sal died he lived at home with his daughter and Son Derek, son Jim was by now in the army. He eventually went to live with his son Jim, daughter in law Maureen and grandchildren Jimmy and Jayne.
He never really settled into civvi life after retiring from the army.
Left Â£312 when he died.
